“ I went to Subway for the first time in like 5 years. The sandwich was so awful and so expensive that it drove me to sit down and write this review. After all, it's easy to take places like this for granted. The truth is this place is a gem and deserves every fabulous review it gets even if I have to wait 30 more minutes for my take out orders as a result. The mixed Leo is incredible. The way the tangy mustard/mayo and mushrooms cut the richness of the beef and pastrami creates pure deliciousness. It should be the official sandwich of Oakdale as far as I'm concerned. The whole menu is top notch, though. The Italian Sub is a go to for me if I want a cold sandwich. I love the Chicken Dofino. The bacon jam on it is great. The broccoli salad is my favorite side. I've even tried making it at home, but it's not the same. Other reviews don't touch on the bread enough. A lot of these sandwiches work because the bread is fresh baked. I really appreciate that they put as much effort into the bread as they put into their meats. The service is always great. I think the worst part is they just get slammed at lunch time. You really need to plan especially for to go orders. Is it worth the wait? Absolutely! Don't believe me, then go eat a $17 subway sandwich and get back to me. I'll wait in your line every time. These guys know food! ”

“ I met my niece here bc she moved to Oakdale last year and had never been there yet. My husband and I had dined there but it had been awhile. We went in around 10:30 bc they get very busy before the lunch hour. We were greeted by our server, Olivia, who had a fun personality and a welcoming demeanor. We needed to check out the menu so she brought our beverages first. My niece ordered the cheeseburger with a small side of pesto pasta. It was honestly the best looking cheeseburger ever and huge! We wish we had thought to take a photo. My niece agreed and said it was also delicious. I wasn't hungry for a huge meal, though so many plates being served nearby looked fantastic. I chose a side of two meatballs, decent sized, in marinara sauce with a small side of broccoli salad, both were also delicious. As we visited and enjoyed our food, the place started filling up and had a pleasant, friendly vibe. The price point is very reasonable, as well. My husband and I will be visiting again soon. We are glad this place is located in our little town ”

“ I seem to be like a yo yo with my reviews for this place. I am at 4.75 for the food, service and ambiance. We seem to have been driving here from Modesto weekly for lunch. Parking is hard because they are always so busy and hours are limited but that is a testament to their success so can't tell them how to run their business as they obviously have it figured out. I still wish they had the cowboy sandwich but am just being picky. My wife always has the Camarillo which is why we drive out here for. I do enjoy it but am thorn because their raviolis are so, so very good. I had that and a side of meatballs which I seen another patron do last week when we were here. That was a great choice as the meatballs are flavorful, perfectly cooked with plenty of that delicious meat sauce. I will probably continue to order that side every time we come here. Also the dressing on their salads it's outstanding and their ice on the drinks is our favorite type of crushed/nugget ice. ”

“ From 9/17/2024: Everything about my experience was good overall. I wasn't a fan of my sandwich, the Chicken Dofino. I didn't care for it much because it got soggy by the time I drove from Oakdale back to Modesto, and another 15 min on top of that before eating it. I also wasn't a fan of the tomato pesto. That cake looked bomb in the glass, I should have gotten that as well. Anyways, I'll try something else next time. ”

“ Honestly, the sandwiches here are delicious. I've been here so many times and I'm never disappointed with the food. It is unfortunate they close relatively early and that you're almost guaranteed to wait a long time for your order but the food is worth it. ”
